How far is the page from Pachalegria on foot, and how do I get there?

The beach is 400 meters from the Pachalegria center, or a 15-minute walk. Pachalegria is located on a hill above the village, overlooking the beach and the ocean.

To get to the beach, walk down the hill, cross the village (2 streets), and you’ll reach the 2.3-kilometer-long beach.

Our center is located on a hill overlooking the village of Zipolite and the bay.

To get to Pachalegria, you’ll need to climb the hill and/or the steps. You don’t need to be in great shape, but if you have limited mobility or a disability, we don’t recommend visiting our site.

Follow Saïd, co-founder of Pachalegria, as he, along with some friends, shows you in this video the path from the main road to Pachalegria. This will help you get familiar with the area and assess the difficulty.

Can I go swimming in the ocean?

The sea along the Pacific coast is rough with waves. It is known to be more active than the sea along the Caribbean coast.

The intensity of the waves and currents depends, of course, on the tides. Some days, it’s very easy to swim—you just wait for the waves to splash over you. Other days, you can’t go very far out because the waves are too strong.

Locals usually go swimming at least once a day. 🌊

Can I book additional nights?

Of course! When you book your accommodations, you’ll be able to enter the dates that work for you.

Do you offer a plan that includes three meals a day?

Unfortunately, that’s not possible—but for good reasons!

We’d like participants to have dinner in the village of Zipolite so they can discover and explore different types of cuisine and, above all, get to know this small village and its residents.

Many people also prefer to have a meal on the beach at sunset or later. Still others prefer a light snack in the tropical heat.

Finally, since our team in charge of meals and the kitchen arrives very early in the morning to prepare the snack and breakfast, the staff leaves toward the end of the afternoon after several hours of work.

How is the Internet connection in Pachalegria?

All of our villas and rooms are equipped with STARLINK Wi-Fi to accommodate digital nomads and travelers.

How safe is Pachalegria?

The Pachalegria site is secured by a locked gate at the entrance (an access code is required) and several cameras on the premises to ensure everyone’s safety.

We do not have in-room safes. However, your room locks, and you are the only person with the key (except for the Pachalegria staff, of course). So you can safely leave your personal belongings, such as your passport, in your room.

Do you have a travel agency you'd recommend?

We recommend the travel agency Inspirations Voyages. Contact them and plan your trip to Pachalegria with them.
